今天，我们的英语课堂上，进行了一次意想不到的小考。说是意想不到，那是因为英语老师事先根本就没有下达这方面的通知，所以，我毫无准备，简直就是措手不及啊！
在慌乱的准备之中，我脑海里立即努力的回忆着英语单词的有关符号，还好还好，有些单词信息我很快就从记忆深处之中搜寻出来，有的虽然依稀模糊，但经过一番苦思冥想，我还是能相信自己应对这次考试的。
所以，我立即来了精神，做好一切准备工作。
据英语老师说，我们这次英语考试有规定，要先把卷子纸折叠成四个工整的格子，然后，一横行只能书写四个单词，若是一横行多写出一个单词的话，就会按照零分处理。
考试的时候，为了不犯规矩，我简直就是做到了小心翼翼啊，生怕会在一横行里多写或是少写一个单词，我可不想被罚出局，把个大鸭蛋抱回家去，那样的话，老爸老妈一定会大发雷霆的。
虽然我没有犯规矩，但是遗憾的是，考完试后，当老师在全班同学面前公布成绩的时候，我却只得了75分，我顿时伤心极了。难过的说不出话来，就像口中吞咽了一颗酸梅子似的。大有无颜面对江东父老的感觉。
下午的时候，我们的试卷发了下来，我却从中得到了重大的崭新发现，咦？我发现我一共错写了三个单词，一个单词是按照5分减掉的，三个单词老师应该给我减掉15分呀，我应该85分才对，怎么是75呢？我突然间由伤心难过变得怨声载道起来。
“哼！一定是英语老师给我判错分数了！”回到家里，我把这句话告诉了妈妈，可是妈妈看过试卷之后，令我感到意外的是，这一次她不但没有冲我发飙，反而还耐心的对我说道：“悦悦，其实分数不重要的，这不过是平常的一次小考而已，重要的是，你对知识的掌握程度是否牢固。好了，你也不必太难过了，平常一定要注意，不管有没有考试，不管老师告诉你考试还是没告诉你考试，你都要脚踏实地的好好学习。只有这样，你才能有信心也有能力去面对每一次课堂上的考试，今后也能有能力去应对人生中的每一次考试，懂吗？”
妈妈说了好多，虽然有些话我并没有理解的那么透彻，但我还是乖乖的点了点头。是啊，只有时时努力，事事努力，才能应对每一次关口，应对每一次挑战！
经过妈妈的一番话后，不开心的悦悦释然了，加油悦悦，相信自己，只要脚踏实地，将来一定能够有所作为，天生我材必有用！耶！
