冬天向我们挥手告别，万紫千红的春天向我们走来，今天我和妈妈迎着和煦的春风来到美丽的东山书院。
跨入大门，出现在我面前的是一条石板拼成的小路。路旁有一条青青的小河，河岸有一大片紫藤，，枝条浸在清彻的水里，真像一个个婀娜多姿的少女在梳洗长长的发辫。水面泛起微微的波纹，原来是一条小鱼悄悄地把头探出水面，调皮的吹了一个小泡泡又潜入水底。
我们走上通向书院正门的石板桥，路两旁那高大而挺拔的松树像欢迎我的到来。书院前坪景色让我眼前一亮，小草从土里钻出来，绿油油的，像刚染过似的;草地中央是青翠欲滴的凤尾竹，像久别重逢的兄弟姐妹拥抱在一起。
进入书院大门，映入眼前的是两棵漂亮的白玉兰树，那盛开的花朵，就如夜空中同时点亮的一盏盏莲花灯，又像少女洁白的舞裙。我被这一自然奇观吸引住了，向前走是毛泽东的铜像，铜像高大魁梧，令人肃然起敬。我不由得想起《恰同学少年》中，少年毛泽东那朝气蓬勃的形象，耳中响起“山川在我脚下，大地在我怀中”的呐喊。我恭恭敬敬的朝主席行了一个队礼，毛主席嘴角露着笑意，似乎在鼓励我。经过东斋，来到毛泽东读书的教室，里面摆着几行古老的座位，有一个位子上写着：毛泽东坐过的座位。我在上面特意坐了一下，心想：我如果也能像毛泽东爷爷一样能够造福百姓就好了。
我爱东山学校，这里不仅是一个风景美丽的地方，也是一代伟人的母校。
